Answers to some commonly asked questions

How do I order my child’s milk?

Your child is entitled to free milk until they are 5. Once they have turned 5 you may choose to continue to pay for this. You need to order your child’s milk via the Coolmilk website. You will receive a link to this at the end of July so that you can register over the summer holidays. If you want to order milk, you need to do so by 5pm on a Tuesday for the following week.

Do you have hand dryers in the toilets?

Yes. The children get used to these very quickly. We do advise that if your child doesn’t like hand dryers they practise using them when out and about in the coming months.

What do I do if my child needs medicine in school?

Any medicine must come into school via the office as they need to be signed in. Please do not send these in via your child’s book bag. Please refer to the Administering Medicines Policy here as this highlights the medicines we are able to administer.

What do I do if my child has a medical appointment?

We ask that where possible these are made outside of the school day. However, if this is not possible, you need to advise the school office in advance of the appointment and provide them with a copy of the medical appointment letter.

My child needs to be collected by a different adult.

If your child is being collected by a different adult please let the office know, preferably in the morning so that the class team can be informed.

Are they only allowed water in the classroom?

We ask for water only in the classroom water bottles. If your child is having a packed lunch from home you can provide them with an additional drink for this. No fizzy drinks or glass bottles please.

When do I return my Universal Free School Meals form?

Please can you return this to school as soon as possible.
